Panchkula, October 20

Congress candidate from Panchkula Chander Mohan has asked his booth-level workers to be cautious against the provocative tactics of the BJP and the INLD workers and maintain peace and sanctity of the polling day.

Chander Mohan urged his booth workers to act as best as they could, for they were the foot soldiers of democracy. He held a similar meeting with his rural workers and polling agents at Barwala block. The booth workers were asked to ensure that their booth got the maximum polling percentage. He also hailed and thanked the booth workers for being with him throughout and said he would always remain indebted to them for their support to him.

With the din of canvassing dying yesterday, today was a relatively quieter day for Chander Mohan. He spent the day meeting, orienting and motivating his booth-level workers and guiding them towards good and alert conduct on the polling day tomorrow.

He personally handed over the bag containing essentials for voting to the booth-level workers at his Sector 8 residence and reminded them to be alert and vigilant on the polling day.

In the afternoon he was huddled together with his trusted lieutenants in a series of closed-door meetings in which his think tank decided the action plan for the polling day.

Chander Mohan’s team, including Ravinder Rawal and Hemant Kinger, and others explained the functioning of EVMs to the crowd. While handing over the bags to booth workers, he also shared a list of phone numbers where they could contact in case of any malfunctioning of an EVM or mishap of any kind.
