Stamp duty on previous flat transfers flayed

CHANDIGARH:In a joint statement, Satish Chandra Sharma, Chairman, Group Housing Cooperative Societies’ Welfare Council, and Sandeep Bhardwaj, General Secretary, Chandigarh Pradesh Congress, criticised the move of the Chandigarh Administration mulling multiple stamp duty for all previous transfers.

In a joint statement, Satish Chandra Sharma, Chairman, Group Housing Cooperative Societies’ Welfare Council, and Sandeep Bhardwaj, General Secretary, Chandigarh Pradesh Congress, criticised the move of the Chandigarh Administration mulling multiple stamp duty for all previous transfers.  Satish and Sandeep said the move proposed by the administration to levy multiple stamp duty mandatory in the ensuing transfer policy for a flat or flat-sharing in the group housing cooperative societies in Sectors 48, 49, 40 and 51 is facing flak from residents.
