Ludhiana, August 13
A protest was held by members of the Punjab National Bank Officers’ Association and PNB Employees’ Federation against the top management here on Monday against its “arbitrary” attitude.
The employees said the management had put an embargo on even the need-based recruitment in all cadres. The members alleged that appointments on compassionate grounds were either rejected or were not addressed for years together. Officers were transferred abruptly inter-circle/inter-zone in total disregard to the agreed policy with the organisation.
The demonstration was attended by 800 persons, who said despite supporting the organisation, the management was least bothered about genuine demands of the employees.
