Ludhiana: The police division 2 nabbed two persons with 400 intoxicanting tablets. The accused have been identified as Suraj Kumar of Kheri village, and Hardeep Singh of Dugri.



Ludhiana: The police division 2 nabbed two persons with 400 intoxicanting tablets. The accused have been identified as Suraj Kumar of Kheri village, and Hardeep Singh of Dugri. Investigation officer ASI Yugeshwar Sharma said he had brought jail inmates to hospital for medical checkup. On the frisking of an inmate, some banned medicines were recovered. The police also nabbed Hardeep who had handed over the medicines to the inmate. TNS

One held with 25-gm heroin

Chandigarh: The anti narcotic wing of city police nabbed a drug smuggler and recovered 25 gram heroin from his possession. The accused has been identified as Khomal Masih of Beant Pura, Delhi road. Investigation officer ASI Major Singh said that during a routine patrolling, the above said scooter borne person was stopped for checking which led to the recovery of heroin. The police said the accused was on the way to deliver the consignment of narcotics to his clients. A case under section 21, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused. TNS
