Chandigarh, February 8

The Chandigarh Administration today decided to inoculate 2,400 beneficiaries at 12 existing vaccination sites so that the targeted population is covered in the stipulated time.

At the vaccination sites, 200 beneficiaries will be called for on a daily basis. So far, the frontline workers’ turnout in the UT stands at 66.9 per cent, while the overall percentage of beneficiaries turnout is 45 per cent.

Against the target of 1,151 beneficiaries, 382 were inoculated on Monday. In March, the focus of the drive will shift to the elderly (above 50 years). The data from the electoral rolls has been fetched by the Centre and will be uploaded on Co-WIN.
