Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh said today that though the party welcomed the fact that the BJP-led NDA government was giving attention to Muslim students, it had only exposed saffron party’s hypocrisy. He said this during a press conference at the party office.

The NDA government has launched its new scheme for giving scholarship to five crore Muslim students over the next five years.

“Scholarship to Muslim students is being publicised by the government with great fanfare. But the question is why discrimination is being done with students on religious grounds? The BJP is playing the same politics of appeasement for which it used to accuse the Congress,” he said.   “We demand that all students, regardless of their community should be given scholarships,” said Sanjay Singh.
