Amazon Original released the trailer of Gehraiyaan and the makers say, ‘discover what lies beneath the surface!’
Directed by Shakun Batra, Gehraiyaan stars Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, Dhairya Karwa as leads along with Nasseruddin Shah and Rajat Kapur in pivotal roles.
Jointly produced by Viacom18 Studios and Dharma Productions in association with Jouska Films, Gehraiyaan is a romantic drama about complex modern relationships. The movie is slated for worldwide premiere on Amazon Prime Video on February 11.
A glimpse into the life of Alisha (Deepika Padukone), who’s marriage with Karan (Dhairya Karwa) is on the rocks. Her cousin Tia (Ananya Pandey) introduces them to fiancé Zain (Siddhant Chaturvedi). In the next few scenes, we see Alisha and Zain falling for each other. This new romance brings trouble in the lives of all four characters and soon the makers point at the dark end of modern relationships.
The trailer, within its first few minutes of release, garnered praise for the sizzling chemistry between Deepika and Siddhant.

One day before the trailer release, the four lead actors shared voice notes on their Instagram profiles.

The movie was originally scheduled to release on January 25 but it was postponed by some days. It was Karan Johar who made the announcement on social media. He wrote, “We can see the shore, till then we’ll dive into your love! #GehraiyaanOnPrime releases Feb 11.”
Amazon Prime Video unveiled new posters of the film on Deepika Padukone’s birthday with its new release date. She shared them on Instagram and wrote, "A little birthday present for all the love you have showered us with."
