Haunted house, ghosts and more; here’s a look at the top OTT releases this week

October 8: Muppets Haunted Mansion on Disney+ Hotstar

Starring in this Halloween special alongside fan-favourite Muppets are Will Arnett (as The Ghost Host), Yvette Nicole Brown (as The Hearse Driver), Darren Criss (as The Caretaker), and Taraji P. Henson (as The Bride). The story revolves around the Great Gonzo – world famous daredevil artiste, who has survived it all. But on Halloween night, the fearless Gonzo takes on the greatest challenge of his life by spending one very daring night in the grimmest place on Earth — The Haunted Mansion.

October 8: Ghosts on Voot Select

A brand-new sitcom to binge-watch, this quirky series details the lives of Samantha, a freelance journalist and Jay, a chef, who inherit a huge country estate — only to find it riddled with spirits of deceased residents of the rundown home.

October 8: Madres on Amazon Prime Video

Beto (Tenoch Huerta) and Diana (Ariana Guerra), a young Mexican-American couple expecting their first child, move to a small town in 1970’s California where Beto has been offered a job of managing a farm. Isolated from the community and plagued by confusing nightmares, Diana explores the rundown company ranch where they reside. Her discoveries will lead her to a truth much stranger and more terrifying than she could have possibly imagined.
