Chandigarh, February 8
The elections to the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC), which were scheduled to be held on March 6, have been postponed. Justice HS Bhalla, Commissioner, Gurdwara Elections, issued a notification saying that “all activities pertaining to the elections to the HSGMC shall stand withdrawn till further order.The fresh schedule for the elections shall be issued later on,”
Justice Bhalla quoted a communication from the Director, Secondary Education, which mentioned that the CBSE examinations of Classes X and XII were scheduled to held from February 15 to April 2. Besides, other annual school examination were also scheduled around the March 6, Justice Bhalla said while postponing the elections.
Only yesterday, Justice Bhalla had issued the election schedule for the March 6 polls for all 40 wards across the state.
