INLD rejects state chief’s resignation

Kurukshetra, May 25

The resignation of Ashok Arora (in pic), who had quit the post of state president of the INLD on Friday, has been rejected by the party’s national president.

However, Arora said he was yet to receive any information in this regard and also denied making any comment until he meets party’s national president OP Chautala, who is currently in jail.

Taking moral responsibility for the loss of the party in Lok Sabha elections, Arora had sent his resignation to Chautala. Meanwhile, senior INLD leader Abhay Chautala said, “Ashok Arora had tendered his resignation from the post of state president as he took responsibility for the performance of the INLD in the Lok Sabha polls. But Om Prakash Chautala has rejected the resignation. He has asked him to continue with the responsibility. He has said the results have been same across the country and one shouldn’t get upset over it. One person is not responsible for it.” —TNS
