Minor raped, forcibly married

The police have arrested a youth (23) for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl and marrying her. The accused was produced in a local court that sent him to judicial custody.

According to the police, the victim complained to SP Virender Vij that the accused raped her on January 25 when she was alone at home. He made an obscene video of her and married her by threatening her and her mother. One day, the brother-in-law of the accused threatened to make the video viral and raped her.

When she narrated the incident to her mother-in-law and husband, she was asked to remain silent. She somehow managed to reach her mother and narrated the incident. They lodged a police complaint on September 18.
