Construction of the Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy in Devarkhana village here will be completed soon. A sum of Rs 57 crore has been approved for the institute, of which construction worth about Rs 34 crore has so far been completed.
The hospital will have 200 beds. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar stated this on Monday after reviewing the progress of construction at the institute.
“I am taking up the matter with the Centre regarding the remaining work of the project. The Institute will start functioning soon so that people get the benefits of naturopathy,” said Khattar. He said 60 per cent of the work had been completed.
The Chief Minister said under the first phase, construction of 13 buildings, 48 staff quarters, OPD and general ward had been completed.
Construction of the National Cancer Institute in Badhsa was also in the final stage, he said. This area would be developed as a medical hub, he added.
