Dharamsala, February 16
While addressing the India-Nepal Higher Education Summit organised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) today, Central University Vice-Chancellor Sat Prakash Bansal underlined the importance of international exposure for student mobility.
While chairing the session on ‘Student Mobility and Diversity: Enhancing International Exposure’, he spoke about the current status of higher education, excellence in academics and research fields, innovation-based teaching methods, integration of students from diverse cultural backgrounds, availability of cultural harmony and integration, and the coordination of education, technology and innovation.
He said there were immense opportunities for the educational and professional development of international students, citing international-student success stories from India.
Bansal emphasised on the global impact of the Indian education system and said India had incredible potential for international students.
The summit is a unique platform to connect with other institutions, discuss research collaborations, explore faculty/ student exchange programmes, establish twinning programs or joint/ dual degrees and attract foreign students, he added.
Taking place from February 15 to 17, the summit is being attended by 150 universities from India and Nepal.
