Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Devesh Kumar reviewed poll preparedness with returning officers, district electoral officers and assistant returning officers here on Tuesday.

The Chief Electoral Officer asked them to ensure connectivity and maintenance of roads along with other necessary facilities at all polling stations and counting centres. Devesh Kumar also reviewed webcasting to be conducted at different places in the state on the polling day.

Detailed guidelines were given to the officials for the counting of the electronically transmitted postal ballot system.

Later, he visited the model counting centre at Government College, Dhami, in Shimla district.
