Chamba, January 11

The Himachal Pradesh Multi-Purpose Projects and Power, Principal Secretary, Prabodh Saxena, has asked managers of hydropower project enterprises, whose projects have either been commissioned or are under construction, to deposit their pending local area development authority (LADA) funds.

The Principal Secretary stated this while presiding over a meeting of the hydropower projects’ managers and district officers at the local Bachat Bhawan on Thursday. He said it was the priority of the state government to promote power projects; but for that, the private companies, which were engaged in the construction of hydroelectric projects, should also show their keenness. The Principal Secretary stressed on the need to notify the project-affected areas and project-affected zones of the left-out power projects. — OC
