New Delhi, January 28

After Nitish Kumar resigned as Bihar Chief Minister on Sunday morning quitting the Mahagathbandhan, the Congress accused the CM of competing with chameleons in his habit of frequent flip-flops. Congress general secretary communications Jairam Ramesh in a post on X said that the people of Bihar will not forgive Nitish Kumar for this betrayal. Nitish Kumar was the principal architect of the anti-Bjp INDIA alliance which is virtually over now with the JD-U, Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab and Trinamool Congress in Bengal, declaring that they will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on their own rather than in coalition with the Congress.

"Nitish Kumar, who frequently changes political partners, is giving tough competition to the chameleons in changing colours. The people of Bihar will not forgive the experts of this betrayal and those who made them dance on their tune. It is quite clear that the Prime Minister and the BJP are scared of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and this political drama has been created to divert attention from it," Jairam said.
