India’s reaction came after Iran attacked the Jaish al-Adl group's headquarters in Pakistan with "missile and drone".
Iran had on Tuesday attacked the Jaish al-Adl group's headquarters in Pakistan with "missile and drone".
India said the Iran's missile attack on Pakistan is an issue that "concerns only those two nations".
"This is a matter between Iran and Pakistan. Insofar as India is concerned, we have an uncompromising position of zero tolerance towards terrorism. We understand actions that countries take in their self-defence," the Ministry of External Affairs said in an official statement.
Pakistan, too, has conducted strikes inside Iran, the AFP news agency reported on Thursday, citing an unidentified Pakistan intelligence official.
Interestingly, Pakistan's caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar had met Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, just before Iran fired missiles at Balochistan.
According to The Express Tribune newspaper, the Iranian president's point man for Afghanistan was also in Islamabad recently.
Pakistan on Wednesday warned Iran of "serious consequences" after Tehran launched an unprecedented missile and drone strikes on terrorist bases of a Sunni militant group in the restive Balochistan province, which killed two children and injured three others.
