Alumni meet at Sainik School tommorow

Inviting ex-students serving on various prestigious positions, Sainik School, Kapurthala, will hold its old boys’ meet on its campus on December 7.

Rajpal Singh Sandhu (PPS), president, Saikap Alumni Association, said: “Lieut Gen Satinder Kumar Saini, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command, and an ex-student, will be the chief guests on the occasion. Lieut Gen Saini will deliver an inspiration lecture to the present cadets and inspire them to scale great heights in their career.

Wife of Kirti Chakra awardee Maj Ashok Kumar Sehrawat, Usha Sehrawat, has also been invited to attend the function. An ex-student of Sainik School, Maj Sehrawat got killed in an action in Kupwara in 1997. His wife is currently serving as a teacher at Army Public School, Meerut. Several serving and retired officers from defence forces, police personnel and other civil officers who are the pass out of the school will attend the meet.
