Employees who made people aware by risking their lives in Chabbewal segment during the pandemic were honoured with letters of appreciation by Assistant Excise Commissioner Avtar Singh Kang.

These include Kamal Kumar Khosla, Rajnish Kumar Guliani, Honey Raja, Excise Inspector Manjit Kaur, Excise Inspector Naresh Sahota, Kashmir Singh, Sarabjit Singh, Onkar Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Dinesh Kumar and Angrez Singh.

Kang said making people aware amid the raging pandemic was the most important work because only on the basis of awareness we could save people.

When people were staying indoors, members of awareness teams were going door-to-door in order to motivate people to wear masks and sanitise their hands frequently. Not only this, when the government started vaccination, these employees played an important role in removing rumours among residents.
