JAMMU: The Golden Key Division had organised a high altitude biking and trekking expedition to commemorate the golden jubilee year of the division.



Jammu, June 4

The Golden Key Division had organised a high altitude biking and trekking expedition to commemorate the golden jubilee year of the division.

The 15-member team was flagged in by GOC, Kharga Corps, Lt Gen Amarjeet Singh today.

GOC, Golden Key Division, Maj Gen MS Ghura along with a host of veterans, who had earlier commanded the division, was present on the occasion.

The expedition was flagged off on May 8. The 15-member team covered a distance of 644 km in 22 days in an inhospitable mountain terrain of Himachal Pradesh, traversing heights up to 4,500m.

During the expedition, the team also promoted issues such as women empowerment. — TNS
