‘One step at a time’

After doing a mythological show this is your first historical show. How different is it?

Mythology and history are two genres that help an artist develop in every way.  I have been lucky that my very first show was mythological and now with Chandragupta Maurya, I will explore a different side of me. 

How have you prepared yourself to essay the character?

I am taking training in horse-riding, sword fighting and using the bow and arrow! 

How much do you relate with the character?

Chandragupta Maurya being the ultimate warrior could never hear anything immoral about his country or people, I am the same in that aspect. 

How has been your experience working with other co-stars?

All my co-stars, including Sourabh Jain and Tarun Khanna, who is playing Chanakya, are very supportive and keep me motivated. Tarun sir is my guru in real life also. 

What is next on your wish list?

One step at a time.
