Shahid Kapoor-starrer Kabir Singh shows how a top class surgeon, after a failed relationship, becomes an alcoholic and starts consuming drugs. He has to pay a heavy price, as he loses his job and even his medical license gets suspended for five years.

Udta Punjab revolves around the problem of drug abuse by youngsters in the state and also the various conspiracies surrounding it. Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, the movie features Bollywood biggies like Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh.

The movie was Sanjay Dutt’s biopic, directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Ranbir Kapoor played the title role in the film in which we see him getting addicted to alcohol and drugs. He is sent to rehab, his girlfriend leaves him and he faces all sorts of trauma but finally comes out trumps.

This 2016 crime thriller by Anurag Kashyap shows the use of drugs throughout the film by Vicky Kaushal, who plays a police officer. The drugs, as expected, have a profound effect on him, changing him completely.
