How has been the journey till now?

The journey from Amritsar to Mumbai has been a roller-coaster ride. It was a difficult one, coming to a new city and searching for work. Yes, it was full of ups and downs. But that’s the beauty of it.

How did the transition from being a dance choreographer to an actor happen?

I started my career as a dance choreographer. But I always wanted to see myself on screen. I auditioned for the show, Kanpur Wale Khuranas, and got selected.

Did you always want to become an actor?

When I was a kid, I used to say that I wanted to become an actor. After doing a couple of shows, I am sure that I am made for this profession.

Have you done any acting course or theatre?

I have not done any acting course, but yes, I did theatre in Punjab which helped me overcome shyness and stage fear.

Who is your inspiration?

My father inspired me the most as he wanted to become an actor but due to family pressure, he couldn’t pursue his dreams. He fully supported my dream.

Choti Sarrdaarni was your last show. Any special memories from the show?

My character’s name was Rana. I was playing the brother of the female lead, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia. The character had many shades. There are many special memories. We ate, sang, danced and laughed together for two years.
