21-year-old youth’s body found in Machhiwara village, four booked

Ludhiana, July 19

A 21-year-old youth, Manpreet Singh, was killed in a village in Machhiwara Sahib and his body was found dumped in the fields late last evening. The Khanna police after recovering the body identified the four accused who committed the murder. They were identified as Beant Kaur, her brother Sarvan Singh, Gurlal Singh and Kala.

A case of murder was registered today.

DSP Waryam Singh said the body of the youth was found in the fields at Manewal village. During probe, it was found that the deceased had gone to the house of Beant Kaur, who is facing four cases of drug peddling, where after arguments she, along with others, killed him and dumped the body in the fields. The victim was also reportedly injected with some drugs by the accused.

No arrest has been made in the case so far.
