Mandi Ahmedgarh, March 18

The administration has launched a movement to sensitise residents of the area about preventive measCovid-19 that has emerged as a pandemic for everyone across the world.

Having received training during district level orientation course, designated officials from offices and educational institutes, who have been imparted technical knowledge on the subject, have started disseminating information to their colleagues and members of these organisations which could not be involved in centralised training.

A comprehensive programme for sensitisation of residents of various localities is scheduled to commence from Thursday. Ahmedgarh and Malerkotla SDM Vikramjit Singh Panthey said designated officials from various offices and educational institutes of Ahmedgarh and Malerkotla blocks had been imparted technical guidance during a training camp held at Sangrur under supervision of deputy commissioner Ghanshyam Thori on Tuesday.

“Having received comprehensive training from master trainers during the camp, these trainers have started updating their colleagues and officials of uncovered units about the preventive measures to check the spread of coronavirus in the region,” said Panthey, maintaining that a comprehensive programme to organise locality-wise workshops and seminars had been drafted. Trainers will start organising beat-wise events in their respective areas from Thursday.

A team of experts led by Dr Upasna Bindra had imparted training to designated officials from 50 offices and educational institutes.
