Ludhiana: Students of the school celebrated World food Day with zeal. They were instructed to offer the food items to the needy. The aim of the activity was to reach zero hunger across the globe and develop empathy for the poor. The kids felt very happy by helping people in need and thanked Almighty for everything they are blessed with.

BVM, Udham Singh Nagar

The school observed World Food Day to raise awareness about healthy food and eradicating malnutrition, undernutrition and hunger. Students participated in many activities on the day. Pupils of classes I to VI showcased decorative plates having colourful foods with emphasis on balanced diet. Students of classes VII and VIII participated in the role play activity with immense excitement, projecting the fact that food is a fundamental human right and we should combat malnutrition. Class IX to XII students made creative posters to spread the message of rigt food.

Green Land Convent School

The school celebrated Global Handwashing Day with much enthusiasm. The main aim of the celebration was to educate kids about the importance of handwashing. The day started by seeking the blessings of Almighty through video conferencing where teachers and students recited the song – “Father We thank thee”.

To create awareness about healthy food and dietary habits, the primary wing of the school organised a poster-making activity. The posters made by students emphasised on the importance of nutritious and healthy food habits. Students understood the benefits of consuming healthy fresh food that meet the relevant food quality and safety.

BCM School, Basant City

BCM School, Basant City, organised World Food Day to draw student’s attention towards the problem of global hunger and to cut down its wastage. Teachers made the students aware of importance of good quality food. Students also shared the food charts made by them. Principal JP Singh said, “Food supply, production, distribution and security are all interrelated and the world would be a better place if these parameters are balanced and equated alongside.”

To end hunger and promote a healthy lifestyle, World Food Day was observed by the school. A series of activities were held to mark the day. One of the foremost move of the day was the pledge “Don’t waste food and save or serve food to needy people” taken by students.

The school celebrated World Food Day to inculcate the importance of food among students. Kids took part in various activities planned for the day. Students participated in preparing a variety of cuisine such as Italian food, Spanish food, Continental food, Northern food, Southern food and also made a picturesque presentation of the same.
