Ludhiana, December 9
The department of critical care medicine and department of anesthesiology, Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), organised a continuing medical education (CME) programme on an important aspect of health care — ‘Crisis resource management and patient safety’ with the theme ‘Minimising medical mishaps’ here recently.
The meeting was first of its kind in the country. The initiative was taken by Dr PL Gautam, professor and head, department of critical care medicine.
The programme was formally inaugurated by principal Sandeep Puri, along with dean, academics, Sandeep Kaushal, medical superintendents Ashwani K Chaudhry and Sandeep Sharma and other dignitaries.
Dr Sandeep Puri highlighted that the CME was the best platform for faculty members to learn the best practices about facing and managing crisis situations in day-to-day life.
