Doraha, June 14
Offended by the non-cooperative attitude of the Congress party high command, two-time Municipal Council chief and six-time councillor of Congress party Sudarshan Sharma Pappu today joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the presence of MLA Manwinder Singh Giaspura and MLA Pappi Prashar. Congress councillors Baljit Kaur, Ruchi Sharma, Priya Sharma and Kulwant Singh, too joined the AAP in the presence of two MLAs of the AAP.
Sudarashan ‘Pappu’ said he and his fellow councilors have always worked with heart and soul for the Congress party for years together. “For the past some time we have observed that the party high command is completely oblivious towards our commitment towards the party and ignoring us. It has overlooked our contribution altogether. Offended by the non-cooperative attitude of the party high command, I along with my fellow councillors decided to say goodbye to Congress. It is better to join AAP where we have observed people being valued and given due recognition for the services offered and efforts put in.”
