Khanna woman hurt in acid attack



Ludhiana: A man threw acid on a woman at Khanna in which she suffered burns on her hands. The Khanna police registered a case against Sandeep Singh. The incident occured on Sunday evening. The woman said Sandeep cornered her in the morning and threw something on her but she escaped. In the evening when she, along with her sister, was heading towards the market on a scooter, Sandeep again threw acid on her. She suffered burns on the hands and got admitted to a hospital. The police have registered a case against the suspect who is yet to be arrested. They said the complainant was yet to reveal the cause of attack. TNS
