The Dehlon police have initiated a probe into an incident in which some unknown miscreants had made a futile attempt to burgle the Rania branch of Axis Bank on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday.
Satwinder Singh, manager of the branch, told the police on Friday that the guard of the bank, Ravinder Singh, had spotted some papers scattered on the premises of the bank when he reached the place in the morning. Later, it was found that a hole was created by unidentified miscreants on a wall of the bank. Investigation by police officials, led by Jatinder Kaur, revealed that no valuable or cash was missing from the bank.
A case has been registered in this regard on Friday. — OC
