To strengthen security arrangements ahead of the Independence Day celebrations in the city, Commissioner of Police (CP) Rakesh Agrawal has cancelled all leave of police personnel.
The CP even asked the entire force not to take even a single leave till August 16. These directions were issued to ensure that the Ludhiana police make enough deployment on city roads and to keep a tab over anti-social elements ahead of Independence Day.
