Over 300 participate in alumni meet

Ludhiana, December 2

The Alumni Association of College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (COAE&T), Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), organised an online annual alumni meet e-Moments-2020, which was joined by around 300 alumni along with their family members. Alumni from different batches and various parts of the country and abroad from USA, Canada, Iran, Dubai, Nepal, New Zealand and Australia joined the meet to share their reminiscences and sense of nostalgia.

The alumni meet was also joined by former Deans of the College and other Deans, Directors, and Officers of the university.

Dr Manjeet Chinnan, who was the chief guest, shared his memories. He exhorted the alumni to stay connected with their alma-mater through alumni association and enhance the brand COAE&T as they are the ambassadors of the proud institution.

Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon, Vice-Chancellor, PAU, in his message, appreciated the role of the College in the crop residue programme and congratulated Dr Chinnan, Dr Ramesh Kanwar, Dr Shiv Om Prasher and Dr Prasantha Kalita for getting prestigious international awards. He also appreciated the efforts of the alumni association of the college to connect with its alumni through the mentorship programme.

Dean Dr Ashok Kumar highlighted the accomplishments of the college and apprised of the selection of 17 students through prestigious on campus placements and admission of two students for postgraduate programme in IIM. He praised the contributions of the alumni towards the growth of their alma-mater and emphasized for increased connect for enhancing the brand COA&ET.

Dr Satish Kumar Gupta, president of alumni association, shared the initiatives taken by the alumni association in the past year along with the flagship programmes of the alumni association, student alumni mentorship programme and creation of a dedicated alumni relations centre. He also emphasised on the need for further strengthening the linkages between the alumni, College and current students.

Dr Preetinder Kaur, Chief Editor, shared that Agrineer Newsletter is a regular feature of Alumni Association.
