Myriad ceremonies namely shobha yatras, kirtans, prasad distribution and langar marked the celebrations held in the region on occasion of the Ram Temple consecration at Ayodhya on Monday.

Almost all temples, irrespective of the belief of the organisers and deities worshiped, were decked up in colour. Talwandi Bazaar, Old Bus Stand Road, Hanuman Mandir Road, Mandir Shivala Road and Committee Bazaar at Raikot were especially decorated to welcome shobha yatras being taken out by various religious organisations.

The occasion was also celebrated at some educational institutes where students enacted selected episodes from Ramleela and portrayed the characteristic personality of Lord Rama. Activities were reportedly held at Wisdom World Public School, MGMN Senior Secondary School, Victoria Public Senior Secondary School (Lehra) and Paragon International School (Dehlon).

Celebrations were also held at Payal, Malaudh, Dehlon, Barundi and Sudhar towns of the region.
