Purse snatcher from Shimlapuri arrested, motorcycle recovered

LUDHIANA: The police have claimed to arrest a miscreant who allegedly tried to snatch a purse from a Delhi-based woman.

Ludhiana, February 18

The police have claimed to arrest a miscreant who allegedly tried to snatch a purse from a Delhi-based woman. The accused has been identified as Paramjit Singh, a resident of Shimlapuri, Ludhiana.

Acting on a tip-off, the accused was nabbed by the police. The cops also recovered a motorcycle allegedly used by the accused during the crime, besides recovering another stolen motorcycle from him.

According to sources, the accused along with his accomplice had tried to snatch a purse from a woman on Saturday at Model Town market. His accomplice has been on the run.

According to the accused he faces three criminal cases registered at various police stations in Ludhiana and Moga districts.

The police have registered a case against the accused.
