Sacred Heart Annual Sports Meet

Energy, enthusiasm and excitement were the highlights of the annual sports day at Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar.



Energy, enthusiasm and excitement were the highlights of the annual sports day at Sacred Heart Convent School, Sarabha Nagar. A beautiful prelude to the opening ceremony of the sports meet was a prayer song followed by a march past competition among the students of the four houses. The students dressed in their house uniforms marched smartly to the drum beats. The judges included ex teacher of the school,  Kiran Sharma (NCC Incharge) and Bhupinder Singh, the physical education, HOD of Guru Nanak Public School. The students of various houses, guides, scouts displayed their skills in march past competition which was won by Red House. The live commentary kept the atmosphere lively and inspiring to the players. Other spectacular shows of the day were the sack race and book balancing competitions for the support staff wherein they participated with zeal and won positions. The high spirits of all the staff members could be seen in the tug-of-war and Spoon-lemon race competitions organised for them. They exhibited true team and sportsman spirit. Blue House clinched the title of the Best House of the sports meet 2019. 

Annual Function held

Orchid Junior International, Sarabha Nagar, celebrated its annual function, ‘tour-de-world’ in the school ground. The central idea of ‘tour-de-world’ was to give knowledge to the kids about different countries and their cultures. The theme was beautifully depicted in the form of different flairs of dances of the World. The kids participated in the celebration and enthralled the audience with their magnetic performances. The kids displayed a wide array of colorful events and presented the theme 'Tour-De-World' with different dance forms of the different countries. They presented Hawaiin Dance, Australian Couple Dance, Chinese karate dance, Dubai Belly Dance and made the audience dance to their moves.

550th Gurpurb Celebrations 

The celebrations were held here amid spiritual fervor. During this, students recited japji's sahib, mool mantra, gayatari mantras in the school hall. On the day of celebration, students paid tribute to Guru Nanak Dev ji by spreading his message of harmony , humanity and equality through orations. There was an air of spirituality that make the ambience more energetic. Principals of other branches of the school also marked their presence on this auspicious day.

Spring Dale School

Students of Spring Dale presented a mesmerising shabad kirtan on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev organised by the Laxmi Ladies Club Ludhiana. This auspicious kirtan filled in the ambience a pious and devotional waves. The congregation present in the club applauded the children and their performances had a devotional and spiritual effect on them. The students also received honor by club members for adding more charm in the event. 

Guru Gobind Singh public School

A quiz competition was organised here on the occasion of 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev here.  This quiz competition was organised on the 550th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. This competition was categorised in three teams. I Category from class III to V in which team C was the winner team. In this team, Gursimran Kaur(III), Ekamnoor Kaur(IV) and jasmeet Kaur(V) were participated. In the second category from classes (VI to VII), Team A was the winner team. In this team (Parneet Singh(VI), Jaskiran Kaur(VII) and Harsimran Kaur(VIII) were the participants. In the Third Category Gurbakshish Singh(X), Navpreet Singh(X) and Ansh Garg(X) were the winners.

Jesus’ Sacred Heart School 

On the occasion of 550th birthday of Guru Nanak Dev, a path and ardaas was held in the school premises of Jesus’ Sacred Heart School, South City. The management, staff and students sought the blessings of the Almighty enhancing the spirit of virtuous path and righteous choices by the guidance of Guru Nanak Dev. The spiritual ambience was created when the students sung devotional chants. The management, staff members and students relished the langar. TNS
