Scholarship scheme announced



Ludhiana: Desh Bhagat University under Mata Jarnail Kaur Scholarship Scheme announced scholarship worth Rs17 Crore for deserving students on the occasion of Makar Sakranti. The announcement was done by Dr Zora Singh, Chancellor, Dr Sandeep Singh, president and Shivangi Verma, Deputy Manager Admissions. Dr Zora Singh, Chancellor, and Dr Tejinder Kaur, pro-chancellor, said last year scholarship worth Rs 11 crore was offered to the students under Mata Jarnail Scholarship and this year the funds have been increased to Rs 17 crore in view of the pandemic.

Malwa Central College of Education for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, organised a webinar on National Policy on Education 2020: A policy perspective. The key note speaker and chief guest was Dr Jatinder Grover, Dean Faculty of Education, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The programme was started with Shabad Gayan. Dr Naginder Kaur, Principal, welcomed the key note speaker, resource person and all the students. A brief introduction of the webinar was given by Dr Mohua Khosla.
