The police have recovered 21 kg of ganja from a resident of Uttar Pradesh. He was caught in a suspicious condition on a service lane between the Kaddon chowk and Doraha.
The SHO, Doraha police station, Nachattar Singh, said the police had set up a naka near the service lane of Doraha when it found a pedestrian carrying a plastic bag on his head. He got scared as the police approached him. “When searched, a total of 21 kg of ganja was recovered from him,” the SHO said. “The smuggler has been identified as Pintu, a resident Fatehpur of Uttar Pradesh. “We expect to make major discoveries in further investigations. Pintu has been remanded in police custody, he added.
