Tamil scholar Arivoli passes away at 80 in Tiruchirappalli

TIRUCHIRAPPALLI: Tamil scholar Arivoli died in a private hospital here on Wednesday following a brief illness. He was 80, hospital officials said.



Tiruchirappalli, May 9

Tamil scholar Arivoli died in a private hospital here on Wednesday following a brief illness.

He was 80, hospital officials said.

Born in Sikkal in Nagapattinam district, he had authored 120 books. He is survived by wife and two daughters.

He worked as a professor in Anna University and Poompuhar College and was a debate moderator. PTI
