Jalandhar, February 26
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday launched railway infrastructure projects, including redevelopment of 534 railway stations, including three in Punjab—Jalandhar, Beas and Moga.
Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit praised the efforts of Modi for bringing in development on a war footing.
With projects worth Rs 23,810 crore already under way in Punjab, the governor said work on 30 projects was slated to commence soon.
He hailed the life-changing experience of travelling by the Vande Bharat Express, describing it as eye-opening.
Having served as governor in various states, including Meghalaya, Assam and Tamil Nadu, the governor said that there was no place like Punjab.
He said PM Modi is fully dedicated to the farmers and would do everything for their benefit.
