Congress candidate Dr Amar Singh today got a shot in the arm as former BJP councillor Yash Pal Lahoria, senior AAP leader Kuldeep Mohan Sharma Binti, Ram Murti Balmiki and former SAD Block Samiti member Sukhdev Singh Patarsi joined the party in the presence of MLA Kuljit Singh Nagra.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Amar Singh lashed out at the Modi government for its “failure” on all fronts. He alleged that no loan of farmers was waived, no employment was generated and no black money was recovered by the BJP-led Union government. Besides, every section of society, except top industrialists, had to suffer due to demonetisation.

Nagra highlighted the development works being carried out in Fatehgarh Sahib. He termed Dr Amar Singh an able officer “who has a vast experience of working in the government”. — OC
