Kejri to visit Bathinda today for a wedding

BATHINDA: Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal will attend the wedding of party MLA from Bathinda (rural) Rupinder Kaur Ruby here on Thursday.

Bathinda, October 10

Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal will attend the wedding of party MLA from Bathinda (rural) Rupinder Kaur Ruby here on Thursday.

Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema confirmed that Kejriwal along with his deputy Manish Sisodia would first reach Sangrur from where they would proceed to Bathinda for the wedding. Incidentally, Kejriwal’s Bathinda visit comes ahead of the party’s core committee meeting scheduled to take place soon to deliberate on factionalism in the party and its strategy for the General Election.

However, Cheema said there was nothing political in their visit. “They will be here for the marriage,” he added.

On the other hand, Bholath MLA Sukhpal Khaira, who is leading the party’s other faction, is unlikely to attend the wedding. His aide Deepak Bansal confirmed that the chances were bleak. — TNS
