Chandigarh, November 17

The government has deputed language officers in 15 districts. Higher Education and Language Minister Pargat Singh distributed station allotment letters to these officers at the Punjab Civil Secretariat here on Wednesday.

Pargat said the government was committed to implementing the State Language Act, for which it was first necessary to depute these officers. He said there was vacancies of the officers for the past 25 years. — TNS
