In order to motivate the students and provide them career counseling, the district administration has started arranging career guidance and competitive exam books at the government school libraries in the district.
Deputy Commissioner Ambala Vikram Singh today inaugurated one such library at Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School at Samlehri village on Tuesday. On this occasion, the deputy commissioner interacted with the students of class 11 and 12, inquired about their aim and answered their queries related to career options. He shared his journey as IAS officer, motivated the children to fix their respective goals and guided the children that how they can achieve their targets.
DC Vikram said “Along with the beautification work of libraries at all the 93 Government Senior Secondary Schools, the administration has started providing career guidance and competitive exam books. While the work at 22 schools has been completed, the work at remaining schools will be completed soon. We have also decided to start arranging interactions between the students and the officials of different departments and sectors so that the student could get the answers related to their queries.”
The Deputy commissioner directed the education department officials and the school principal to ensure that the students get books and guidance as per their requirement regularly and not to keep the entire exercise as a formality. He also directed them to fix time table for library.
