Derek O’Brien’s quiz

Students of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, put up a brilliant show as they participated with enthusiasm in exhilarating and exiting rounds of Derek O’Brien’s Quiz on Wednesday. Google boy Kautilya Pandit also participated in the quiz and gave tough competition to other participants. In the senior category, team ‘Donald’ was the winner. In the junior category, team ‘Pluto’ emerged the winner. The winners were given medals and certificates.

 

Young Talent Show was organised at Ryan International School, Sector 66, Mohali. Various competitions such as freehand drawing and colouring, clay modelling and rhyme recitation were organised for students in the age group of 2 to 6 years.

 

Over 200 students, Scouts and Guides of Government Model High School, Sector 34-C, here, organised a rally to observe World Disabled Day. Carrying posters and placards with slogans, they held a procession in the Sector 34 Divisional Library and carried out a cleanliness drive under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan there. The students were accompanied by school headmaster Dr Vinod Sharma and teachers. 

 

The Old Student Association of DC Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 7, Panchkula, organised a blood donation camp on Wednesday. BB Gupta, director of the school, apprised the gathering of the benefits of blood donation.  — TNS
