The number of jaundice patients crossed 110 in Kangra town with nine patients reporting to the Civil Hospital with symptoms of the disease today.
Kangra District Chief Medical Officer (CMO) BM Gupta said one of the patients was admitted to the hospital and the remaining were provided medicines and discharged after they tested positive for the disease.
He said new cases were reported from Old and New Kangra localities. The CMO said chlorine tablets were being distributed in the areas from where patients had been reporting.
House-to-house search for patients in the town and its suburbs was restarted to detect fresh cases. An alert was sounded in the entire district . Jaundice outbreak was reported from Old Kangra locality on December 18.
