The commerce and industry department today organised a meeting with the representatives of industry and apprised them about the industrial and business development policy of the government.
The department officials asked the industry representatives to give their suggestions regarding the proposed new industrial policy. The officials ensured the industry representatives that their suggestions would be taken into consideration while formulating the new industrial policy.
The Focal Point Joint Industries’ Association submitted a memorandum regarding their demands. The association demanded that incentives like in J&K, HP, UP and other states were necessary for the survival of micro, small and medium industry in Punjab.
