Bhavan’s Kala Kendra organised a musical eve named ‘Golden Melodies of Yesteryears’ on the school premises. Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, IG, Punjab, was the chief guest. Popular singer Prashant Naseri former Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa winner from Mumbai was invited to sing songs .

Prashant, who was performing for the first time in city, said he felt Amirtsar has a deep connection with the popular Hindi film music industry. “It has given gems like Mohd Rafi and Mohinder Kapoor, who gave us melodious songs that no one can forget. It’s was extremely wonderful to perform for the audience here.”

Naseri traced the musical journey of yesteryears through his performance, also mentioning some anecdotes behind some of the notable songs. Kala Kendra chairman Avinash Mohinrdu expressed his gratitude to all for sparing their valuable time for the show.
