TARN TARAN: A 47-year- old man, identified as Harjit Singh Jeeta of Dilawalpur village, 35 km from here, was found murdered under mysterious circumstances by the roadside in Jamarai village on Wednesday.

A 47-year- old man, identified as Harjit Singh Jeeta of Dilawalpur village, 35 km from here, was found murdered under mysterious circumstances by the roadside in Jamarai village on Wednesday.

Five armed men abducted Harjit from his home in the presence of his wife on Tuesday night. She informed her son about the incident.

Senior Superintendent of Police Darshan Singh Mann, too, reached the spot.

Dilbag Singh, cousin of the deceased, said the accused hit him on his head. They tied his feet and hands with ropes. The killers stuffed the mouth of the deceased with cloth. The wife of the deceased had to leave for Singapore on Wednesday. According to the SSP, the police would get the case solved very soon. The couple’s 17-year-old son said his parents had serious arguments on Tuesday.
