Remembering the heroes from our history and celebrating the present one, including Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, the song collaboration titled ‘Vandanam Abhinandam’ by city based duo Arvinder Chamak and Harinder Sohal will be launched ahead of the Independence Day celebrations. The song is part of the multilingual biopic made on the life of Varthaman by noted filmmaker Dr PC Aditya.

“It’s a purely patriotic song that summarises the crux of the film. It highlights the journey of a young man, who has become a symbol of courage, the face of the caliber of Indian armed forces,” said Chamak, who has penned down the lyrics of the song. “I have compared our national heroes like Bhagat Singh to the current heroes of armed forces, including Wing Commander Varthaman, who do not think twice before lying down their lives for the nation. I hope the song evokes our patriotism, our love for our country, which is need of the hour.”

The song has been sung by Harinder Sohal, who has been working in Punjabi film industry. This will be the first collaboration for both artistes in Bollywood and South film industry as the biopic will be made in Tamil and Telegu as well. “We hope that the film gets released before I-Day as it would only be apt to screen the story of an exceptional national hero on Independence Day. We are waiting for a go ahead on the film by Indian Air Force as Varthaman is a serving officer of the IAF,” informed Chamak.
