Amritsar, October 19

The district-level primary school games concluded at Guru Nanak Stadium here on Friday. A large number of students participated in the events. Ajnala zone performed outstanding in the primary games.

Chief guest Salwinder Singh Samra, District Education Officer, Secondary Education, said, “The winners will represent the district in the state-level games. My best wishes are with them.”

In 100 meter race (boys category), Vishal Singh and Akash, representing Ajnala zone, got the first and second position respectively. Anchal from Baba Bakala zone and Mamta from holy city bagged the first and second rank in 100 m race in the girls’ category. Students also participated in badminton, shot put and other games. Deputy DEO Rekha Mahajan, Balwinder Singh, Jagdish Singh and Gurdev Singh were among the other prominent present.
